4 I’s Of Oppression - Recap

In the last module, we discussed the 4 I’s of oppression. When tackling concepts like equity & inclusion in the workplace often time we must challenge and interrupt Institutional oppression – which includes policies and practices.

 The image next to interpersonal has three people connected to each other by lines.Interpersonal – When one group believes they are better than another and has the right to dominate/control the other.

The image next to internalized shows the outline of a head with the brain inside visible.Internalized - The oppressor doesn’t have to exert more pressure because we now do it to ourselves
