What is a boundary?

What is a Boundary?

“A boundary is a limit or space between you and the other person. The purpose of setting a healthy boundary is, of course, to protect and take good care of you”

Often times we think about boundaries as dividing lines. Things that separate us. And separation and divisions can feel like an attack. Or we might get defensive if someone communicates a boundary to us. But it’s important to remember that boundaries are about protection – protection of time & space – and self-care.
