Scenario #3
Scenario #3
Frankie has recently been promoted and is now working under Kori. Kori is chipper and loves to engage in small talk. Frankie, who is quiet and reserved was used to working with her last supervisor who was strictly business. After a few weeks of Zoom meetings, Kori is annoyed with Frankie’s “attitude.” Kori struggles to get Frankie to share things about her personal life and believes that Frankie always looks mad. Frankie is adjusting to her new supervisor but doesn’t think that there are any problems that need to be addressed. During their one-on-one Kori says to Frankie, “ We think you need to lighten up, you always look so mad when we meet, and I just don’t know anything about you. Can you agree to change up your attitude a bit. We would all love that.
