Introduction

In this module, we are going to talk about conflict. In workspaces, many different personalities and experiences and values are brought together in one setting, so moments of conflict are bound to rise. We will explore what conflict is and why conflict occurs. We’ll talk specifically about power dynamics and how they show up in the workplace.

In the following pages, we’ll walk through how to address conflict through dialogue and identify appropriate responses to scenarios. Addressing conflict is difficult, so we’ll discuss best practices and resources for conflict.
