Feedback Scenarios
Feedback Scenarios
In this section you'll find three workplace scenarios. After you read each scenario, you'll be asked to make a few notes answering the following questions about that scenario and then provide a short response.
- What worked? What didn't work?
- When and where should this feedback have been given?
- Do you think someone else should be present for this feedback?
- What do you think the person receiving this feedback might need to be successful?
Scenario 1
Jorge has been working for the company for 6 weeks now and is finally getting the hang of things. It's been a tough onboarding process because Raven, Jorge’s supervisor has been pretty removed. Jorge was expecting to meet with Raven once a week to discuss expectations and performance. Raven has been busy and has canceled their check in three times already. Jorge has a lot of questions and would really like to give Raven some feedback about their meeting schedule. Jorge’s other colleagues keep telling him, “just email Raven to reschedule,” but Jorge is feeling nervous and doesn’t know what to do.
Your Response
You can share your answers to the questions above in the Flipgrid below (or, if you're not comfortable or able to record a voice or video response, you can use the comment section below to type them).
