Advocacy Reflection
Advocacy Activity
This table below will help you get to know yourself as an advocate a bit more and will hopefully serve as a graphic organizer to support your self-advocacy skills. Each square on this worksheet is asking for you to identify your emotional, verbal, physical, or psychological indicators. For example, you know when you need help because you feel anxious or overwhelmed with the task at hand. For example, others will know you feel supported because you feel comfortable participating in the classroom or in your department’s group project.
Take about ten minutes to complete the reflection below. You should be able to download the Powerpoint below by clicking where it says "Self-Advocacy Reflection Activity.pptx." Once you've downloaded that, you can write your thoughts directly on the slide and save them to share in our discussion!
