The activity and discussion you just participated are meant to illustrate the topic of this next part of our workshop: microaggressions. What are microaggressions?

Microaggressions

Common verbal, behavioral, and social abuses, whether intentional or unintentional, that communicate hostile or negative rejections of marginalized groups. 


You can find examples of some common microaggressions below:

•What can be done if someone used harmful language in conversation with you ?

•What would you do if someone told you the language you were using was harmful. How would you want to be approached?
